NASCAR driver Ward Burton will be putting NASCAR on the back burner this weekend as he places his focus on the military heroes that have returned from serving our country in Afghanistan and Iraq. Unfortunately, some of these heroes have lost limbs while serving on the front lines during the war and the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation along with Freedom Alliance will be providing a healing environment this Friday May 4th, 2012 at “The Cove”. The Cove is located in Halifax County, VA, and consists of more than 2000 acres of breathtaking landscape and wildlife habitat.

Friday, they are set to co-host the American Hero Event in Clover. This event will provide American Heroes a healing experience to help them cope with their mental and physical injuries they sustained from serving our country during the last several years at war. This event is not open to the public.

On behalf of all mothers who have lost a child or had to see them become disabled, especially in service to our country, I thank you and pray you will be blessed many times over for this service to our soldiers.  Have a healing and fun weekend.
