In his fifth season on the Sprint Cup circuit, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Joey Logano has one win and 33 total top 10 finishes in 124 starts, through the last race at Dover International Speedway on June 3rd, where Logano finished eighth. In the Nationwide Series, however, it’s a totally different Joey Logano, with 13 wins and 76 total top 10 finishes in 98 races, with four wins this season including last week’s race at Dover.

Logano has four top 10s in Cup this season, and he feels that racing on Saturdays in the Nationwide Series – and performing well – has a lot to do with feeling better about the car and the race on Sundays. “I think any time you can run a Nationwide race and you run well there, it transfers over for a couple of reasons,” said Logano in a recent NASCAR teleconference. “For one, it’s confidence.
