Start your engines: The 2012 NASCAR Samsung Mobile 500 is roaring in to the Texas Motor Speedway for a three-day, Texas-sized event. The double-header race weekend features the Nationwide on Friday night and the Samsung 500 on Saturday night. But that’s just part of the high-action entertainment. There’s so much to do before and after the checkered flags drop that everyone will be operating at full throttle.

General parking is free, but be prepared for a half-mile trek to the entrance. Express and VIP parking will get you much closer.

Getting to the Race
Avoid Highway 114 west from Dallas at all costs if you want to be there for the start of the race. The best plan is to get there at least three hours early to avoid traffic, park closer and enjoy the pre-race activities. The Texas Motor Speedway website features suggested routes, or tune in to 105.3 FM or KRLD 1080 AM for race-weekend traffic updates.
