NASCAR drivers have used many adjectives over the years to describe restrictor-plate racing at Talladega Superspeedway—many which can’t be printed in a public domain.

Among the most common: nerve-wracking, mind-numbing, treacherous, unpredictable, insane and just downright crazy.

Few would call it fun.

Except for Carl Edwards.

That’s the word Edwards used Friday to describe what he expects Sunday in one of the most unpredictable races at Talladega in years.
