Stenhouse Jr., who has raced four times in the NASCAR Nationwide Series during the past two seasons at TMS, has placed 29th, 11th, 8th and 6th respectively. He improved on his previous finish each time he has raced on the 1.5-mile speedway. A victory next weekend at the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 is within reach for the 24-year old driver of the No. 6 Blackwell Angus Beef/Cargil Ford.
“There is nothing I want more than to stand in victory lane at Texas Motor Speedway and wear a cowboy hat while firing off those guns,” Stenhouse Jr. said during an interview at TMS’ media day. “When we come here in April, we will have a car that will be ready to compete and hopefully we can get our first win here.”
